SEAN ORLANDO
PUBLIC ARTIST & SCULPTOR
His work combines engineering, storytelling, and industrial craft to create site-specific artworks for civic spaces, parks, transit stations, museums, and cultural institutions. His sculptures often take the form of immersive structures, kinetic installations, and architecturally-scaled environments that invite the public to gather, explore, and interact. Orlando’s work has been exhibited at the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s Renwick Gallery, the de Young Museum, and the Exploratorium, and he has completed public art commissions for cities and cultural institutions across the United States.
In addition to his artistic practice, Orlando is the founder of Engineered Artworks, a Bay Area sculpture studio specializing in the engineering, fabrication, and installation of large-scale sculpture and public art.
